Gemme Amour- a French phrase meaning “love of gems”- is a unique line of jewelry that embodies every woman’s obsession – timeless necklaces, elegant earrings, trendy bracelets. All pieces are handmade in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts with semi-precious stones, silver, and 24K gold plated metals. Materials are carefully selected from sources around the world and incorporated into each piece to create a chic, glamorous look for the woman who wants to stand out from the crowd.

Greek-American designer Cindy Giannaris grew up in the Berkshires surrounded by an impressive collection of world class art, culture, and outdoor adventures that nurtured her creativity. Her Mediterranean roots and travels have served as a constant source of inspiration. Spending her summers with family on the magical Greek Islands, by day she collected stones and shells from each of the magnificent beaches she visited. At night she strolled the small, winding foot paths in the main towns buzzing with tourists filled with small specialty boutiques, mesmerized by the unbeatable array of stunning jewelry. And so her love affair with jewels began and Gemme Amour was born.

The current collection is heavily influenced by the Mediterranean culture with each handcrafted piece mentally transporting you to some of the world’s most beautiful destinations. From the office to dinner, to the beach and off to a night of dancing, the line can be mixed and matched into countless customized combinations of effortless, trendy elegance.

“Must have” pieces this season feature an eclectic blend of semiprecious stones and druzy stones – the Earth’s natural “bling.” The Greek aesthetic takes its cues from colors that echo those of the sea and sky, with crisp whites, blues, and greens, while the rich earthy colors represent the spectacular fall foliage of the Berkshires. Hammered silver and gold plated accents, add depth and interest in each piece. Pave crystal accents mimic the thousands of stars present in the summer’s night sky.
